Luis agreed that the current basic education is insufficient and that this new approach is necessary to produce quality brokers.

Iain Carrillo's Real Estate Insights and Advice
Luis welcomed Iain Carrillo, a real estate agent from Niagara Falls, to discuss his background and insights into the real estate market. Iain shared that he has a extensive sales background and has been a full-time real estate agent for about five years, focusing mainly on the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Niagara region. He noted that while the GTA market is competitive and pricey, he's observed growth in the Niagara region. Iain advised new realtors to be proactive and not hold back, emphasizing the importance of hard work, good photography, and video skills, as well as staging and being open to clients' requests for a positive selling experience.
Effective Marketing Strategies and Client Relationships
Iain and Luis discussed the effectiveness of different marketing strategies for their businesses. Iain shared that he primarily relies on referrals, which account for 90% of his business, and occasionally uses door knocking and social media to reach out to potential clients. Luis asked about Iain's approach to door knocking, and Iain explained that he focuses on building relationships and doesn't follow a script but instead speaks freely. Iain also shared his strategy for maintaining client relationships, which includes regular communication via CRM, personal phone calls, and holiday greetings. Luis expressed his appreciation for Iain's successful methods.
